The Obedient movement's camp has been sent to mourning earlier this morning as the news filters through the rank and files of the movement that their principal has decided to opt out of the race and is currently weighing on who to step down for between Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Asiwaju Tinubu of the PDP.
Inside sources from both the Labour Party Presidential campaign council and the opposition PDP has confirmed the development.
Also independent findings by our sister media outlet in conjunction with Abuja Network News has confirmed that Peter Obi has opened discussion with the APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and have set conditions to step down.
The source told our sister media outlet that " my principal ( Peter Obi) has realised the difficulties and challenges that lies ahead apparently this is not the time for him to rule this country and have decided to opt out of the race but you know we have garnered a considerable number of support base across the country that can tip the balance of the outcome of this elections and in the process have incurred some expenses and debts running into millions of dollars. Well negotiations are on for now, so I don't want to preempt such. But when the time is ripe we will tell you were we have decided to pitch our tent."
When asked if his principal is considering stepping down for Atiku Abubakar or Asiwaju Tinubu the senior aide responded thus " Like I said all of the above can be an option but its all subject to negotiations ".
Abuja Network News understands that the news have wrecked havoc in the ranks and file of the Labor party some are even suggesting that with Labor Party in the Northwest and Southwest collapsing their structures into the APC it is apparent that Obi will be pitching his tent in a few days from today.
Some pundits are of the view that obi might likely hand over his support base in the North And Southwest to the ruling APC while those in the southeast and south south goes to the PDP in a double edge deal.
Peter Obi is expected to make an announcement in that regards in the next few days even though some sources have confided with Abuja Network News that the deal is yet to be sealed but will be sealed in less than 48 hours.
