The moment Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu became the Presidential candidate of the ruling APC the cabal knew they needed to act and they needed to act fast with every arsenal in their possession because they know with a Tinubu Presidency they are completely out of the scheme of things.
That very moment Mamman Daura and his co travellers realised they have to have a plan B which will go beyond APC. After so much deliberations the cabals zeroed on Atiku and a meeting was summoned to seal the deal, even before the primaries Atiku have romanticising with Daura and proposing a deal, but Daura snub him because the plan then was to impose their stuge Ahmed Lawal as the Presidential candidate of the APC .
At the meeting Atiku Abubakar desperate for power agrees to all the demands put forward by the cabals, so Mamman Daura assured Atiku that a plan will be ready by the time he (Mamman) came back from Daura in the next two weeks.
Mamman Daura, Atiku, Dino Melaye and Aminu Waziri Tambuawal met again after Daura's return. Daura asked Atiku to raise N85 billion Naira to start organising his campaign but Atiku said he cannot raise the said sum during the timespan due certain challenges.
Daura then hatch a plan to convince Buhari to reimburse PDP states owed by the federal government who has completed Federal projects in their respective states saying by that singular act he (Buhari) will prove to the world that he is a national leader who does not discriminate along party lines and that will bring him honor and praises.
Buhari was convinced by the plot and innocently paid the money to the states which include Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.
But the plan began to fail immediately the states received the said funds, Wike has already began his crusade against Atiku thus ceased all form of financial support to the PDP. Obaseki was also reluctant to release any money for the campaign, but Okowa released a substantial sum for their joint ticket.
Atiku and the cabal felt betrayed, as Delta state workers and other major stakeholders get wind of how Okowa released billions of their state money to the Atiku Campaign they begin to ask question that are capable of crumbling the entire PDP.
Atiku is facing imminent failure and ran back to Daura who is the master planner, so Daura summons the Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefile and The Managing Director of the NNPC the trio perfected a plan that will pitch Nigerians against the ruling APC and give Atiku an edge.
Daura used his influence to convince Buhari on the need to cement his credibility by conducting a free and fair elections absent vote buying. As this was happening Emefile rushed to the President with a proposal to redesign the Naira notes and how it will curb vote buying that was how Buhari innocently fall into the trap.
All this while Daura was behind Buhari and encouraging him to take the bold step and reminding him of the international honour and accolade that awaits him if he conduct a free and fair election absent vote buying. The first of its kind in Africa.
Emefile was not difficult to convince because he and Okowa were cousins from Agbor, Delta State. As of Mele Kyari, Daura used his influence to convicted him that his position will be secured in the next government under PDP something that cannot be guaranteed under a Tinubu Government.
That was how Nigerians were made to pass through an excruciating pain in oder to fulfil the wish of the cabal, a dream of absolute power which they say corrupt absolutely.
But when the duo of Wike and Obaseki refused to released their money to the Atiku campaign reality began to down on Daura that the battle is not yet won, a lot has to be done.
As we inch closer to the polls Nigerians should expect more desperate actions from an already wounded and very influential cabal willing to protect their powerbase at cost less I forget very and or stinkingly rich also willing to sacrifice anything and anyone for power.
