Peter Obi Set To Step Down For Atiku.

Sources with both the main opposition PDP and the labour party has confirmed to media outlets about an ongoing underground plan that will see the candidate of the labour party Peter Gregory Obi stepped down for his former boss Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition PDP in oder to drive out APC in the upcoming elections.

This was a fallout of a series of discussions, negotiations and politicking between the two parties. "All indices and analytics have shown that Obi has less than 10% chances of winning this elections, so rather than making it easier for APC to retain the presidency I think it will be wiser to do the needful so that we will both have cause to smile, afterall that's what family does". A source familiar with the negotiations was quoted as saying.

Also another investigation by a sister media outlet reveals that " Exclusive information gathered from top officials of the Peter Obi campaign team was that many of the associates of the labour party candidate and advisers have come to the realisation that the coming election is going to be a straight fight between APC and PDP".

Information reaching us has it that the top brass of the labour party met in Abuja  where they put fact and figures together and unilaterally came to the conclusion that winning the elections will not only be a Herculean task but next to impossible thus voted in favor of the merger with Atiku.

Our correspondence also reports another high level meeting between both sides of the PDP and the labour party were promises were made and agreements reached but conclusions could not be reached because there are some complaints regarding the sharing formula of the  largess coming to the pocket of the labour party.

As at the time of writing these report our correspondents reports that another high level meeting was schedule to hold later tonight to be mediated by a former head of state where an amicable sharing formula will be reached to both sides.

Anonymous sources within the Obi camp also confirmed to Abuja Network News that the bad blood between some leading figures in the campaign is some what responsible for the slow pace of negotiations. But assures Nigerians that they are doing everything possible to provide the best leadership for the country.

Another source from the Atiku campaign team who chose to remain anonymous because he was not authorised to speak on the development confirmed the move which according to him " You know, Obi has been an integral part of us, we just had some misunderstandings and we have fixed that, I can assure you he is coming home soon."

When asked why is it taking so long for Obi to embark on the exodus considering elections is barely 31 days from today the source added " A lot are involved and you know when issues of compensations are on the line people from both sides rush to protect their interest but I assure you this is a done deal".
