Senate Screened Buhari's Nominee For CBN Deputy Governors.

The brief statement on the CBN Facebook page reads

"The Senate committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions screened Mrs. Aishah Ahmad and Mr. Edward Lametek Adamu, on Friday, December 9, 2022, following their nomination for reappointment as deputy governors of the CBN by President Muhammadu Buhari."

This reappointment seems to portray the President's confidence on the leadership of the Central Bank amidst claims and counter claims by both the CBN Governor Godwin Emefile and another Presidential committee which accuse the Governor of misappropriation, embezzlement and fraud.

It remains unclear who's side the Presidents is and observers are keenly watching as event unfold, at the moment it is a hecculian task to predict the President's action.
