See The Amount Of Redesigned Naira Notes Minted By The CBN.

 

Reports making rounds on social media that the Central Bank of Nigeria is unaware of the amount of new Naira notes it  minted is found to be fake, mischievous and without basis. 

An investigation by Abuja Network News find out that the Central Bank minted 500 million pieces of the new Naira notes for the take off of the Naira redesign policy.

This disclosure was made on Thursday 22, December, 2022 by the CBN deputy governor in charge of Financial Systems Stability Aisha Ahmed while addressing members House of Representatives on the new CBN Naira redesigned and  Cash Withdrawal Limit policy. 

A report by the House Media Center was quoted by this medium thus.

"...She also admitted that the apex bank could do better in its engagements with the House of Representatives on the need to inform the legislature about new monetary policies while revealing that 500 million pieces of the new notes were minted by the bank for the takeoff of the naira redesign policy."
