The Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) CFR has received the award of appreciation from the Nigerian Army at the ongoing Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference, taking place at the International Conference Center, Kasarawa, Sokoto State.
The Appreciation Award which was presented by President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR is in recognition of the CGC and the Nigeria Customs Service's outstanding support, cooperation, and collaboration with the Nigerian Army, especially in the areas of timely clearance of military hardware and equipment, providing information and logistics, and provision of relief material at the North East amongst others.
The CGC who was represented by a team led by Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) Hamza Gummi in charge of Human Resource Development, responded by assuring the Nigerian Army of the Nigeria Customs continued support in ensuring the Nigerian Army fulfills its mandate of securing our territorial integrity and citizens.
Other recipients of the award are the Chairman BUA Group, the Chairman Dangote Group of Companies, and the Chairman UBA Bank among others.
