It is such a happy and joyous moment as President Muhammadu Buhari flanked by the Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello arrived in Kogi today amidst cheers and celebrations.
Kogi state has been one of the strongholds of the President and his ruling APC for quite some number of years, this explains the joy, the glamour and cheers by the people to welcome their beloved President.
The President commissioned 8 Legacy projects amongst others in the state executed by the executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
He also commended and congratulated the Governor for writing his name on the golden pages of history by starting and completing those projects meant to better the lives of Kogites and Nigerians in general.
The President also congratulates the good people of Kogi and urge them to make good use of the projects done to make life easier for them. He also encourage them to prepare for the upcoming elections and also troop out in mass and vote for the APC in a peaceful and secured manner, promising that the elections will be free and fair.
He also urge the state Governor to use his remaining days in office judiciously towards delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
Responding the Governor on behalf of the Kogi state Government and People thanks the President for his fatherly role and moral support without which no progress will be achieved.
He also promised the continued support and loyalty of the government and the people of the state to the policies of the President Muhammadu Buhari's led government.
Prominent amongst the projects commissioned today include but not limited to.
1. The Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja.
2. The Ganaja Junction Interchange (Flyover) in Lokoja and
3. The GYB Model School in Adankolo, Lokoja.
4. The Agasa-Upogoro- Checkpoint Road, Okene.
5. The Magnificent Ebira People's Palace for the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Okene and
6. The State-of-the-art (World Class) Reference Hospital in Okene to be commissioned.
